In the early farming society of Taiwan, every temple festivals were important events to the local residents. The street performances by the religious believers were exciting and often anticipated. The festivals were like the Brazilian Carnival, fantastic and amazing. However, the performance must meet specific religious manners, traditional and local cultural requirements, that are implemented in the character arrangements, the dance patterns and the customs.
