Graduated from the Central Music Academy in 1991, San Bao is now a famous young Mongolian composer, having joined hands with many film directors including Zhang Yimou.

Chief Singer Tang Ga-al

Tang Ga-al is an outstanding Mongolian singer, whose songs like The Mongolians and Gada Meilin are almost known to everybody in China. He also starred in a few films and teleplays. Tang Ga-al's singing for this film is filled with intense emotions and strong national sentiments.

Feng Xiaoning, graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 1982, is now a director of China Film Group Co. He is also a member of Chinese National Political Consultative Conference and Chinese Writers' Association.

Main Works and Awards won:

The 1988 teleplay "Virus", Gold Medal, and Sunday won four Flying Apsaras Awards for the Best Screenplay, the Best Director, the Best Cinematography and the Best Editing.

The 1989 film "The Atmospheric Layer Vanishes" won a Gold Rooster Special Award for Directors, a Bronze Bull Award for the Best Feature Film, and a Silver Pine Award on the Yugoslavian International Ecological, Sport and Tourism Film Festival.

The 1990 film "The Meridian of War" won a Gold Rooster Special Award for Directors and an Appraisal Committee Award on the Japan Tokyo International Children's Film Festival.

The 1991 teleplay "The Northern Navy" won a Flying Apsaras Award.

The 1996 Film "Red River Valley" won two Ornamental Column Awards for the Best Director and the Best Film, two Gold Rooster Award for the Best Music and the Best Film Editing, two Hundred Flowers Awards for the Best film and the Best Leading Actress, the Best Screen Award on the 17th Iran FAJR International Film Festival, and the Best Screenplay Award of Xia Yan Film Literature Award.

The 1998 film "Lover's Grief over the Yellow River" won two Ornamental Column Awards for the Best Screenplay and the Bests Film, a Gold Rooster Special Award and three other Gold Rooster Awards for the Best Art Direction, the Best Leading Actress, and the Best Music, and a Hundred Flowers Award for the Best Film.

The 2000 film "Purple Sunset" won a Ornamental Column Special Appraisal Commitee Award and another Ornamental Column Award for the Best Special Effects, a Gold Roostser Award for the Best Cinematography, and the Best Special Effects, a Gold Rooster Award for the Best Cinematography, and the Best Film Award on the Hawaii International Film Festival of the year 2001.

The 2001 film "Gada Meilin" won the Best Screenplay Award of Xia Yan Film Literature Award.

We enjoy the freedom and piece the most living in the nature. We no longer feel free, if our nature living environment is damaged by our own desire. Gada Meilin and his followers sacrificed their lives to protect their living land. Gada Meilin is the hero of the Mongolians; a hero of the entire Chinese nation and a hero of the whole human kind for his great courage to save freedom for his loved ones and his people.
