| MEGA DISASTER: VOLCANO
This volcano has a remarkable history of eruptions since it was
first formed about 35,000 years ago. We’re in a crater with
warning signs of steam vents and hissing.
Volcano ash and gas cloud around the globe lowered the earth
surface temperature. Even a dusting of a few centimeters would
be enough to cause total disruption of transport systems, water
supplies and all sorts of things that we regularly rely on in our
daily life. Atmospheric modellers are predicting that the temp
could drop several degrees centigrade, and this would affect
weather for many years. And temperatures would change; areas
where crops would grow may not be able to grow those crops.
Using archive footage, computer animation, and expert interviews,
we expose the killer characteristics of natural disasters, leading to
an ultimate disaster – a hypothetical event of unparalleled force
and impact.
